I offer independent lighting design and consultancy service with experience in retail, exhibition, exterior spaces, hotels, residential and commercial lighting projects.

It is important for me to design lighting for the end-users and their tasks in a room and to enhance their experience within the architectural space, interior as well as exterior.

Hi, I am Sabi Kiesel, a freelance architectural lighting designer.

It was during my engineering studies that I first heard about architectural lighting design, and it immediately struck me as the perfect mix of technical and creative skills. Once I completed my first degree, I straight away did an internship in a lighting design office and I was sure this is what I want to do and went off to study architectural lighting design at HS Wismar.

After completing my studies I moved to England and gained my first experiences as architectural lighting designer with LAPD Lighting Design in Hertfordshire. I worked with them on various interior and exterior projects for about 3 years. I then moved to London and developed my knowledge and expertise further working with EQ2 light on a range of various other projects.

This work inspired me to go freelance and in 2018 I embarked on a new journey - cooperating with a variety of independent lighting design offices while also working on my own independent projects.

If you would be interested in collaborating with me on your project, or you have any questions about architectural lighting, feel free to get in touch.
